How to Draw a Baby Dragon?

Wondering how to draw a baby dragon ? No worries, today we're continuing our dragon drawing series and focusing on the baby dragon. This tutorial includes step-by-step instructions that are very easy to follow. Grab a sheet of paper and a pencil.

An adorable baby dragon is very easy to draw. We'll start by sketching its shape using simple forms. Then, we'll tweak its appearance a bit and add details that will give it a cute and lifelike look. I'm giving you access to the video; we've transcribed the instructions below. 🐉

Draw the silhouette of the baby dragon

Step 1 : Draw a circle in the upper part of your paper. This will serve as our sketch for the baby dragon's head. Make sure there is enough space around it for the rest of the baby dragon's drawing.

Step 2 : Draw another, smaller circle to the left of the first one. This will represent the baby dragon's snout.

Step 3 : Draw a curve to join the two circles you made earlier. The curve represents the bottom of the baby dragon's head.

Step 4 : Draw three circles below the previous ones. The top circle is slightly larger than the other two. These circles will help us draw the silhouette of the baby dragon .

Step 5 : Connect the circles with curved lines as shown in the image.

Step 6 : To complete the silhouette, we add two slender oval shapes for the baby dragon's legs.

Draw the Baby Dragon's Head

Step 7 : Draw the baby dragon's nostrils and mouth. If you're having trouble with this step, don't hesitate to press more lightly on your pencil so you can erase and improve your drawing.

Step 8 : Erase the unnecessary lines (sketch) from the baby dragon's body and head. 🐲

Step 9 : Draw the baby dragon's little horns on the top of its head. Don't forget to make the tips of the horns pointed.

Step 10 : Draw the baby dragon's eye , adding a pupil . Draw a crescent moon for the eyebrow and create an incomplete oval shape for the baby dragon's cheek .

Draw the Body of the Baby Dragon

Step 11 : Add a curved line down the middle of the baby dragon's body to separate the belly side from the back side.

Step 12 : Draw wavy lines along the baby dragon's belly to improve the perspective of the drawing.

Draw the Baby Dragon's Paws

Step 13 : Modify the feet and draw curvilinear V shapes to create the baby dragon's claws .

Step 14 : Draw the baby dragon's arms and outline its claws. For a more ferocious look, make its claws very sharp .

Step 15 : Add rounded lines to highlight the baby dragon's claws on each of its feet.

Draw the Baby Dragon's Flame

Step 16 : Draw a small flame coming directly out of the baby dragon's mouth. The fire will make your baby dragon look more manly and dangerous!

Draw the Baby Dragon's Tail

Step 17 : Draw the baby dragon's tail at the back of its body. It starts on the right side of your drawing, curves, and ends on the left with a point.

Draw the Baby Dragon's Wings

Step 18 : Draw the baby dragon's wings in the shape of a slightly curved inverted V. Their base has wavy lines, as if you were drawing a cloud.

Step 19 : Draw more lines on the baby dragon's wings to give them more texture and dimension . This will make your baby dragon look even more lifelike.
