The Story of the Chinese Firebrand
In the 1980s, a Chinese Fireball resided in the Burnt Valley of the Magical Creatures Reserve. During the 1985-1986 school year, Rubeus Hagrid introduced it to Jacob's brother or sister, who helped it regain its ability to breathe fire. 🔥

A Chinese Fireball , brought to Hogwarts by Charles Weasley, was used as one of the obstacles in the first task of the Triwizard Tournament in 1994. Viktor Krum faced the dragon in an attempt to retrieve a golden egg it was guarding, and used a Conjunctivitis Charm to temporarily blind the dragon and snatch the golden egg from it, but the dragon crushed its own eggs, causing it to lose points.
Characteristics of the Chinese Firebrand
The Chinese Fireball is scarlet, with smooth scales and a fringe of golden spikes around its upturned snout and extremely protruding eyes. Its name comes from the mushroom-shaped flame that emerges from its nostrils when it is angry, as well as the large mushroom-shaped flame that comes out of its mouth.
The Chinese Fireball weighs between two and four tons. It is aggressive, but unlike other dragons, it is more tolerant of its own kind and sometimes agrees to share its territory with two other dragons. 🐲
