Draw the Dragon's Face
For the first lines, don't press too hard with your pencil. Start by making the red lines with light and fluid strokes.

Step 1 : Draw a short, curved line, similar to a notch, which will serve as a guide for the dragon's eyebrow. Curve the left point upwards and the right point downwards to draw the frown.

Step 2 : Under the eyebrow, draw a small diamond for the dragon's eye. Under the eye, draw a curved line for the wrinkle.

Step 3 : Above the eye, draw a series of points for the dragon's bony eyebrow. Draw the points using short, triangular shapes. On the right side, curve the shape of the dragon's forehead downwards.
Draw the Dragon's Snout

Step 4 : To the left of the eye, draw a long horizontal line that curves downwards at the end for the upper part of the mouth. Near the middle of this line, draw a small bump for the upper part of the dragon's nostril.

Step 5 : Below the bump, draw a small slit for the nostril. Above, draw another bump for the top of the nostril on the other side of the dragon's head. To the left of the forehead, draw another set of points for the forehead on the other side of the head.

Step 6 : Below what you've done so far, draw a long, wavy line for the upper part of the dragon's open mouth. Draw lightly at first and only darken the line once you've clearly defined the shape. The line should extend to the right, past the eye.

Step 7 : Below the wavy line, draw a series of V shapes for the dragon's top row of teeth. The teeth don't all have to be the same size. Try making them different sizes. Stop adding teeth when you reach the left point of the eye.

Step 8 : At the bottom, draw a long, curved line for the lower part of the dragon's open mouth. First, make a light sketch. Once you have the right shape, deepen and darken the line. The left edge should be flat.

Step 9 : On the left side, draw a small triangular shape for a point on the dragon's chin. To the right of the point, draw a line that slopes to the right, then curves back up to form the dragon's large lower jaw.

Step 10 : On the right side of the dragon's mouth, draw a small line for the skin connecting the jaws. Draw a series of small triangular shapes along the lower edge of the open mouth to create more teeth.

Step 11 : Above the teeth, draw a slanted line for the dragon's tongue. Don't overlap the teeth! At the top right, draw a vertical line for the skin connecting the jaws on the other side. Above the tongue, draw another slanted line for the other side of the lower jaw. Add a row of small triangular shapes above this last line for the rest of the dragon's teeth.
Draw the Dragon's Horns

Step 12 : To the right of the forehead, draw a long, wavy line that curves upwards for the first part of the dragon's horn. Start with a light sketch. Once you have the right shape, refine the line. Add another wavy line at the bottom for the lower edge of the horn. The top tip should be sharp, and the bottom base should be wide.

Step 13 : Above the first horn, draw the horn on the other side using another slanted line. Use the dragon's first horn as a model. Draw only the visible upper part.

Step 14 : To the right of the jaw, draw two large triangular shapes for more horns. Draw these horns like the ones at the top, but smaller. The dragon's lower horn should be even smaller.
Draw the Dragon's Neck

Step 15 : Below the lower jaw, draw a wavy line curving to the right for a section of the dragon's neck. To the right of the horn, draw another wavy line for the upper edge of the neck. Draw a line down the middle of the neck to separate the dragon's scales.

Step 16 : Draw two triangles on the dragon's neck to place spikes on. Draw a few curved lines on the lower half of the neck to divide the scales.

Step 17 : Using a pen or marker, carefully trace over the lines to finalize your dragon drawing. After inking, erase all pencil marks with an eraser.
Color the Dragon Head

Step 18 : Color your dragon head drawing using colored pencils or markers. Use red or dark red for the top of the head and neck. Use light brown or yellow for the lower jaw and the scales on the base of the neck. Color the dragon's horns and the spikes on the neck and chin dark brown. Color the tongue pink and the inside of the mouth brown. Use yellow for the teeth and eyes. There you go, your dragon head drawing is now finished! Well done, you completed the challenge! 🐲
